Nightsky is located in San Luis Obispo, California – approximately 10 minutes from both downtown San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. Our camp offers a quiet, nature-forward setting and is close to beaches, hiking trails, golf courses, and Central Coast wineries. Our address is 2990 Dairy Creek Road, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405.

We understand that plans can change. Guests can cancel their reservations 72 hours before arrival without penalty. However, cancellations made within 72 hours of your arrival date will be charged one night room and tax.

Yes. At the time of booking, we do collect a one-night deposit that includes your room rate, taxes and fees.

Our check-in time is at 4PM. Checkout is at 11AM.

A $50 amenity fee, charged daily, is included in all reservations. Our amenity fee includes: self-parking, use of property camp carts, access to dry sauna, cold plunge, and on-site wellness and community programming, plus WiFi and in-room coffee and tea.

Yes! We welcome well-behaved dogs at Nightsky for an additional fee of $125 per stay (up to 2 dogs). We do ask that other pets remain at home. Please note that not all of our Eco-Tents are dog-friendly, so please confirm at the time of booking.

To keep the Nightsky experience great for all guests, we require that dogs remain on a 6-foot leash at all times, are never left unattended, and that owners clean up after them. We also ask that dog owners help us maintain our quiet hours between 10pm and 7am.

Nightsky is located within San Luis Obispo County’s El Chorro Regional Park, so County park rules and ordinances apply throughout your stay. We’re also fortunate enough to be nearby a wonderful off-leash dog park – El Chorro Dog Park is a short walk from your Eco-Tent.

We want every visitor to feel welcome at Nightsky. Being in a natural outdoor environment, we have terrain that make our experience different to a regular campground or hotel and may require extra planning — but we have support in place to make sure all our guests have a great experience.

Our Eco-Tents are located about 800–1,000 feet from the Dairy Creek parking lot along a gravel path with a steady slope. Within the camp itself, our pathways are flat but unsealed with a gravel surface. While these pathways are not wheelchair- or walker-friendly on their own, our friendly staff are on hand with golf carts to transport guests requiring assistance — and their luggage — at any time during your stay.

Three of our Eco-Tents are designed for ADA compliance with extra space for wheelchair users. These units can be selected during the booking process. Our restaurant, Marcerro, located at the Dairy Creek clubhouse right next to the parking lot, is fully accessible.

We’re approximately ten miles from SLO County Airport. It’s about a twenty-minute drive.

There are so many amazing outdoor activities to add to your itinerary when visiting Nightsky. Whether you’re an adventure traveler or a leisurely weekender, there’s something for everyone to explore, including hiking and running trails, scenic beaches along the Central Coast, golf courses, wineries and tasting rooms, nature exploration and stargazing. We’re lucky enough to be located right next to Dairy Creek, one of the most scenic 9-hole golf courses you’ll ever see. Reservations are handled directly through Dairy Creek Golf Course and you can visit their website to book a tee time.

Looking for something more casual? Prefer to repeatedly show off your long drive while watching the sun set? Your Eco-Tent is walking distance from Swing Time, a Toptracer-powered driving range experience located on-property at Dairy Creek, right next to Marcerro. Swing Time sessions can be booked here.

We built Nightsky for anyone and everyone with an interest in the outdoors. From romantic weekends to solo self-care trips, adventure go-getters to wellness seekers, you’ll find it all here. Our camp is also ideal for families and retreats. No camping gear or experience required!

Yes! San Luis Obispo is a great destination for year-round travel. Our summers are dry and warm with average highs in the 80s, and our winters are mild with average lows in the 40s. Every season is a great season to visit the Central Coast.

We are conveniently located just six miles from downtown San Luis Obispo — trust us when we say it is well worth a visit for local shopping, dining, arts, culture and entertainment. And if you’re looking for a beach-day excursion, it’s just a twenty-minute drive to Avila Beach or Pismo Beach, while Morro Bay’s world-class surf breaks and iconic Embarcadero are just ten minutes away.

We offer a variety of guided experiences from time-to-time on property at Nightsky – and proudly recommend a number of carefully selected third-party partners for guided adventures around the region. Yes! Marcerro, our casual on-site restaurant and bar offers delicious coastal-inspired food with a full bar and a menu designed for sharing. It’s open daily for all-day dining, and has a killer weekday happy hour.

Yes. Marcerro is a short from the Eco-Tents at Nightsky. Our closest Eco-Tents are around 600’ away, while our most secluded Eco-Tents are around 1,300’ from the restaurant.

Yes. Dogs are welcome on the front and rear patios at Marcerro.

Yes! And you should definitely check it out. Marcerro’s outdoor firepit is right next to our bar. It features scenic hilltop views and is particularly magical around sunset.

All Eco-Tents at Nightsky feature lockable doors, private stargazing decks, ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers, and beautiful custom teak furnishings and finishes. You’ll also find the following inside:

• Complimentary pour-over coffee and tea with long-stem kettle and coffee mugs
• [La Bottega] bath amenities
• Electrical outlets
• Minibar-size refrigerator
• Loftie Clock with bluetooth speaker, science-backed sleep sounds and white noise

Yes! We have a number of Eco-Tents fitted out with two Queen beds.

Absolutely. For families and groups looking for a larger room, our Explorer Eco-Tents come with one King bed and one bunk annex with two single beds.

For those traveling with little explorers, for a small additional fee, we are also pleased to offer feather throw beds and in-room Teepees for a unique “tent within a tent” experience.

In addition to Marcerro, our guests are also welcome to enjoy our facilities at the [Camp Commons], which include indoor and outdoor lounge areas, a communal firepit and lawn, and an indoor/outdoor movement studio, sauna, and cold plunge.

Absolutely! We are able to accommodate a variety of private events, corporate retreats, and celebrations—all designed to inspire your guests to reconnect with themselves and our beautiful coastal surrounds. We offer a unique mix of indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, a range of on-property recreational activities with our partners at Dairy Creek Golf Course, and outstanding catering options from our in-house culinary team at Marcerro. Room blocks are also available.
