Activity Details
Every year, thousands of gray whales pass along California’s Central Coast during one of the longest migrations on Earth. Traveling nearly 10,000 miles round-trip between the cold feeding grounds of Alaska and the warm waters of Baja California, these massive animals move just offshore of our beaches. Avila Beach Whale Watching brings guests out onto the water for a closer look, where sightings often include gray whales, humpbacks, dolphins, and sea lions moving through the rich coastal waters of San Luis Obispo County.
